INTRODUCING THE CHRISTINE BATES DAY CARE CENTRE

The Christine Bates Day Care Centre is open to anyone over 45 years requiring physical, emotional and social support including:

	Older people
	Younger people with a physical disability
	People with a learning disability
	People with a dementia
	People over 45 years with nursing care needs

At the Christine Bates Day Care Centre we aim to provide a variety of activities which each person can choose to participate in /access. These activities include:

Craftwork: Knitting, Peg weaving, Painting and drawing

Entertainment: Music Entertainment, Sing a longs, Poetry - reading / listening, Dancing, Chair based exercise, Acting, Quizzes

Meaningful occupation: Washing up, Ironing / Laundry, Gardening, Baking, Caring for Pets – Dog, chickens, rabbits, budgies

Pamper sessions: Manicures, Pedicures, Massage, Hairdressing / barber services, Reflexology, Aromatherapy

Promoting Well being: Physiotherapy / Chiropody, Nature walks, Bathing/Showering service

Socialising: Group discussions, 1:1 chats, Sight seeing trips, Theatre trips, Shopping trips

We are able to offer transport by car or by a wheelchair accessible minibus and the charge for transport is £4.00 per day. Hot and cold refreshments are available throughout the day, as well as breakfast, lunch and tea.

We are open 7 days per week, 52 weeks of the year between the hours of 07.30 and 22.00 (including Bank holidays).

Transport — minimum charge of £8.00 return trip within a 5 mile radius.
Additional Mileage charged at 80p per mile up to 50 miles
70p per mile up from 50 — 100 miles
60p per mile over 100 miles.
